Ingredients/Components
- can cherry pie filling - 1 oz
- yellow cake mix - 1 pkg
- can crushed pineapple, undrained - 1 item
- pecans, chopped - 1 c
- can flaked coconut optional - 1 item
- stick butter or oleo, cut in thin slices - 1 item
How to make dump cake:
Dump undrained pineapple into a well-greased 9 x 13-inch pan. Spread evenly. Dump the pie filling over pineapple; spread evenly. Dump the dry cake mix onto the cherry layer. Spread the pecans and coconut evenly over the dry cake mix. Place the slices of butter over top. Bake at 325° for approximately 1 hour. Serve warm or cooled.
