Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/4 tsp
- ground nutmeg - 1/4 tsp
- ground allspice - 1 tsp
- salt optional - 1 tsp
- onion flakes - 1 Tbsp
- ground thyme - 1 tsp
- cayenne pepper - 1 tsp
- onion powder - 1 Tbsp
- coarsely ground black pepper - 1 tsp
- dried chives or dried green onions - 2 tsp
How to make dry jerk seasoning:
Mix together all ingredients. Store leftovers in tightly sealed glass jar. This jerk seasoning mix will retain pungency for about one month. Makes 5 tablespoons of seasoning at 19 calories per serving.Recipe categories: Vegetables, Caribbean, Central american.
