  • sugar - 1/4 tsp
  • ground nutmeg - 1/4 tsp
  • ground allspice - 1 tsp
  • salt optional - 1 tsp
  • onion flakes - 1 Tbsp
  • ground thyme - 1 tsp
  • cayenne pepper - 1 tsp
  • onion powder - 1 Tbsp
  • coarsely ground black pepper - 1 tsp
  • dried chives or dried green onions - 2 tsp

How to make dry jerk seasoning:

Mix together all ingredients. Store leftovers in tightly sealed glass jar. This jerk seasoning mix will retain pungency for about one month. Makes 5 tablespoons of seasoning at 19 calories per serving.
