Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- milk - 2 Tbsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour
- butter - 1/2 c
- baking soda - 1/2 tsp
- egg - 1 item
- shortening - 1/2 c
How to make drop sugar cookies:
Have ingredients at room temperature.Sift together flour, baking soda and salt. Cream together butter, shortening, sugar and vanilla. Add egg and cream until fluffy. Stir in dry ingredients until smooth. Blend in milk. Chill. Roll in 1 inch balls. Roll in sugar, then flatten with glass. Bake at 400° until lightly browned, approximately 10 minutes. Can be dropped by teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet and flattened with bottom of glass.
