Double chocolate chip brownies
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- vanilla extract - 1 tsp
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- chopped nuts - 1/3 c
- flour
- baking soda - 1/4 tsp
- egg whites - 3 item
- margarine - 2 Tbsp
- 12 oz - 2 c
- applesauce unsweetened - 1/2 c
How to make double chocolate chip brownies:
Preheat oven to 350°. Melt 1 cup chocolate chips, sugar, applesauce and margarine in large heavy saucepan over low heat, stirring until smooth. Remove from heat. Add egg whites; stir well. Stir in flour, baking soda, salt and vanilla. Stir in remaining chocolate chips and nuts. Spread into greased 13 x 9-inch baking pan. Bake for 16 to 20 minutes, or just until set. For fudgier brownies, bake to minimum baking time. Cool completely. Makes 24 brownies.
