Double chocolate brownies
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 3/4 c
- eggs - 2 item
- vanilla extract - 1 tsp
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- chopped nuts - 1/2 c
- semi-sweet chocolate chips - 2 c
- butter - 1/3 c
- water - 2 Tbsp
- baking soda - 1/4 tsp
- unsifted flour - 3/4 c
How to make double chocolate brownies:
Preheat oven to 325°. In a small bowl, combine flour, baking soda and salt. Set aside. In a small saucepan, combine butter, sugar and water. Bring just to a boil. Remove from heat. Add 1 cup of the chocolate chips and vanilla extract. Stir until chips are melted and mixture is smooth.Transfer chocolate mixture to a large bowl. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Gradually blend in flour mixture. Stir in remaining chocolate chips and nuts. Spread into greased 9-inch square baking pan. Bake 30 to 35 minutes. Cool completely. Cut into 2 1/2-inch squares. Makes 16 squares.
