  • brown sugar - 1 tsp
  • egg, beaten - 1 item
  • ice water - 1/2 c
  • margarine or meat drippings - 6 Tbsp
  • powdered dry milk - 1/2 c
  • each: salt and garlic powder - 1/2 tsp
  • whole wheat or white flour

How to make dog biscuits:

Variations: Oatmeal or 3 tablespoons liver powder or wheat germ.

Preheat oven to 350°. Combine flour, dry milk, salt, garlic and sugar. Cut in margarine until mixture resembles corn meal. Mix in egg. Add enough water so the mixture forms a ball. Pat out dough 1/2-inch thick on wax paper. Use cookie cutters to cut shapes. Bake 25 to 30 minutes.
