  • sugar
  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • water - 1/2 c
  • egg whites - 2 item
  • pecans - 1 c
  • white Karo syrup - 1/2 c

How to make divinity:

Place sugar, water and syrup in saucepan over low heat until sugar is dissolved. Cook until candy thermometer reaches 252°. Remove from heat and pour over stiffly beaten egg whites. Beat constantly until mixture holds shape and loses its gloss. Add vanilla and nuts. Drop from spoon onto waxed paper.
