- sugar - 3 c
- water - 1/2 c
- cream of tartar - 1/2 tsp
- white Karo - 1/2 c
- egg whites room temperature - 3 item
- or more pecans - 2 c
How to make divinity:
Lightly toast two or more cups pecans and chop. Beat egg whites and cream of tartar until stiff. Cook water, Karo syrup and sugar until it spins a thread. Pour half of mixture over stiffly beaten eggs. Continue cooking until it spins a long thread. Pour the rest in and beat. Stir in pecans and vanilla.
