  • cream cheese - 8 oz
  • milk
  • powdered sugar - 1 c
  • stick butter or margarine - 1/2 item
  • carton Cool Whip - 12 oz
  • Oreo cookies, crushed
  • French vanilla instant pudding mix

How to make dirt cake:

Crush Oreo cookies (food processor works well); set aside. Cream together margarine and cream cheese with powdered sugar. Mix milk with pudding mixes. Combine the 2 mixtures; fold in Cool Whip.

To assemble: Use a 9-inch flower pot. Place a plastic lid or Saran Wrap in the bottom to cover holes. Layer cookie crumbs in the bottom of the pot, then follow with the pudding mixture. Alternate until both ingredients are gone. Finish with cookies on the top to give a "dirt" appearance. Refrigerate overnight. Place silk flowers (or real ones with the stems wrapped in Saran Wrap) in the center of pot and serve with a small trowel.
