Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/2 c
- salt - 1 c
- water - 3 qts
- vinegar - 1 qt
- dill - 1 item
- garlic cloves - 1 item
- peck cucumbers - 1 item
How to make dill pickles:
Bring salt, vinegar, water, and sugar to a boil. Pack cucumbers in jar. Add 3 or 4 cloves of garlic to each jar. You may add to suit your taste or may use onions instead of garlic. Add 2 to 4 heads of dill to each jar (add to suit taste). Pour hot liquid mixture over cucumbers in jar. To seal, place jars in canner of hot water and bring to simmer; do not boil.
