Ingredients/Components
- vinegar - 1 qt
- sugar - 1 c
- cloves - 1 item
- fresh dill - 1 item
- water - 2 qt
- coarse or pickling salt - 2 Tbsp
- garlic cloves - 1 item
How to make dill carrots:
Wash and trim carrots. Cut into small strips and blanch for 2 to 3 minutes. Rinse in cold water. Make brine of vinegar, water, sugar and salt. Bring this to a boil. In each jar, put 2 cloves of garlic and pack with carrots. Place small pieces of dill on top and pour boiling brine over and seal.Recipe categories: Low protein, Side dish, Vegetables.
