Ingredients/Components

  • milk - 2 c
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • flour - 3 Tbsp
  • margarine - 3 Tbsp
  • lemon juice - 2 Tbsp
  • dry mustard
  • parsley - 2 Tbsp
  • minced onion - 1 Tbsp
  • hard-cooked eggs - 4 item
  • cans crab meat - 2 item
  • drops bottled red pepper - 4 item
  • coarsely crumbled saltines about 14 crackers - 1 c

How to make deviled crab bake:

Saut?© onion in margarine. Stir in flour, mustard and salt. Stir until mixed. Stir in milk slowly. Cook 1 minute until sauce thickens. Remove from heat; stir in lemon juice, red pepper and parsley. Drain crab meat; chop eggs and stir crab, eggs and half of cracker crumbs into sauce. Put in baking dish. Sprinkle remaining crumbs on top. Bake at 375° for 20 minutes.
