Deluxe chocolate marshmallow bars

eggs - 3 item
vanilla extract - 1 tsp
salt - 1/2 tsp
cocoa - 3 Tbsp
margarine or butter - 3/4 c
baking powder - 1/2 tsp
chocolate chips
all-purpose flour
chopped nuts optional - 1/2 c
peanut butter - 1 c
miniature marshmallows - 4 c
white sugar
butter or oleo - 3 Tbsp
crisp rice cereal - 2 c

How to make deluxe chocolate marshmallow bars:

Topping:1 1/3 c. chocolate chips3 Tbsp. butter or oleo1 c. peanut butter2 c. crisp rice cereal In a mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar. Add eggs and vanilla; beat until fluffy. Combine flour, baking powder, salt and cocoa. Add to creamed mixture. Stir in nuts.

Spread in greased 15 1/2 x 10 1/2 x 1-inch pan. Bake at 350° for 15 to 18 minutes. Sprinkle marshmallows evenly over cake. Return to oven for 2 to 3 minutes. Using a knife dipped in water, spread the melted marshmallows evenly over cake. Cool.

For Topping: Combine chips, butter and peanut butter in small saucepan. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until melted and blended. Remove from heat. Stir in cereal. Spread over bars. Chill. Yields 3 dozen.
