- pastry recipe - 1/2 item
- medium tart apples - 8 item
- sugar - 1/4 c
- flour - 3 tsp
- grated lemon rind - 1/2 tsp
- lemon juice - 1 tsp
- cinnamon
- nutmeg - 1/4 tsp
- salt - 1/8 tsp
- butter or margarine - 3 Tbsp
How to make deep dish apple pie:
Wash, pare and slice apples into a bowl and sprinkle with lemon juice. Mix sugar, flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt and lemon rind together. Add apples; toss. Arrange in a 9-inch deep dish pie pan and dot with butter. Roll out pastry; mark top and adjust on top of apples.
