- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- butter - 2 Tbsp
- nutmeg - 1 tsp
- sliced apples - 12 c
- Gold Medal flour - 1/2 c
- pastry for 9-inch one crust pie
How to make deep dish apple pie:
Heat oven to 425°. Prepare your favorite pastry. Stir together sugar, flour, nutmeg, cinnamon and salt. Mix with apples. Turn into ungreased 9 x 9 x 2-inch baking pan. Dot with butter. Unfold pie crust over fruit; fold edges under just inside edge of pan. Bake 1 hour or until juice begins to bubble through slits in crust.Recipe categories: Desserts, Pie, Pies and tarts.
