- milk - 1 c
- vegetable oil - 1/2 c
- vanilla extract - 2 tsp
- boiling water - 1 c
- Grease and flour 2 9-inch baking pans in large bowl
- powdered sugar
How to make deep dark chocolate cake:
Heat oven to 350°. Grease and flour 2 (9-inch) baking pans in large bowl. Stir together sugar, flour, cocoa, baking powder, soda and salt. Add eggs, milk, oil and vanilla; beat on medium speed of electric mixer 2 minutes. Stir in boiling. (Batter will be thin.) Pour into prepared pans. Bake 30 to 35 minutes; cool 10 minutes. Frost with One Bowl Buttercream Frosting.One Bowl Buttercream Frosting:6 Tbsp. butter or margarine, softened2 2/3 c. powdered sugar1/2 c. Hershey's cocoa1/3 c. milk1 tsp. vanilla extract In medium bowl, beat butter. Add powdered sugar and cocoa alternately with milk, beating to spreading consistency. (Additional milk may be needed.)
