Death by chocolate
Ingredients/Components
- graham cracker crumbs - 1/2 c
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- vanilla - 1 Tbsp
- cornstarch - 1 Tbsp
- large eggs - 6 item
- whipping cream - 1/4 c
- margarine, melted - 7 Tbsp
- box powdered sugar - 1/2 item
- pecans, chopped - 1 c
- semi-sweet chocolate chips, melted - 18 oz
- Bake 8 minutes at 325°
How to make death by chocolate:
Mix well and press in the bottom of a spring-form pan. Bake 8 minutes at 325°. Cool.Filling:2 sticks butter1 Tbsp. cornstarch1 Tbsp. vanilla18 oz. semi-sweet chocolate chips, melted1/2 box powdered sugar6 large eggs1/4 c. whipping cream Soften butter slightly in large bowl in microwave (about 1/3 to 1/2 way melted) for about 3 minutes or so on Low. Mix butter (with electric mixer) with powdered sugar, vanilla and cornstarch. Melt chocolate chips in microwave in separate bowl until it stirs smooth. Pour into butter mixture and mix together well.Add eggs 3 at a time and mix well. Scrape the sides well and mix again. Add whipping cream and mix until blended in. Pour into crust. Bake 10 minutes at 350°. Cool in refrigerator about 6 hours before cutting. Serves 6.
