- sugar - 1 c
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour - 1 c
- butter - 1 tsp
- water - 1 c
- eggs, beaten - 2 item
- baking soda - 1 tsp
- nuts, chopped - 1 c
- dates - 1 c
How to make date torte:
Boil until thick the dates, butter and water; cool, then add soda, sugar, eggs, salt, vanilla, flour and nuts. Bake at 350° for 40 minutes. When cool, whip 1 pint of whipping cream and dribble with chocolate syrup. Refrigerate overnight.Recipe categories: Desserts, Fruit, Pitted fruits.
