Ingredients/Components

• sugar - 1 c
• flour
• butter - 1 Tbsp
• soda - 1 tsp
• nuts - 1/2 c
• hot water - 1 c
• egg, beaten - 1 item
• dates 1/2 lb - 1 c

How to make date pudding:

Put the hot water and soda over the dates and let stand while you mix up the rest, then put all together. Cook 1 cup brown sugar and 1 1/2 cups boiling water until sugar dissolves. Pour over pudding batter before baking. Bake in 350° oven for 35 to 40 minutes.
