Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- eggs - 2 item
- vanilla - 2 tsp
- milk - 1 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- cocoa - 3/4 c
- baking powder
- baking soda
- vegetable oil - 1/2 c
- boiling water - 1 c
- unsifted flour
How to make dark chocolate cake:
Combine dry ingredients in a large mixing bowl. Add remaining ingredients, excluding boiling water. Beat at medium speed for 2 minutes. Remove from mixture. Stir in boiling water (batter will be thin).Pour into greased and floured pans, 2 (9-inch) round or 1 (13 x 9-inch). Bake at 350° for 30 to 35 minutes for 9-inch pans or 35 to 40 minutes for 13 x 9-inch pan. Cake is done when toothpick comes out clean.
