Ingredients/Components
- eggs - 3 item
- vanilla
- flour - 1 c
- butter - 1/2 c
- water - 2 Tbsp
- almond extract - 1 tsp
- powdered sugar
How to make danish puffs:
Second Layer:1/2 c. butter1 c. water1 tsp. almond extract1 c. flour3 eggs Glaze:1 1/2 c. powdered sugar2 Tbsp. butter1 1/2 tsp. vanilla1 to 2 Tbsp. water First Layer: Cut butter with flour; sprinkle flour and mix with fork. Divide into 2 equal parts. Pat out 2 strips 12 x 3-inches on greased pan.Second Layer: Combine in saucepan the butter and water. Heat to boiling. Remove from heat and stir in almond extract and flour. Add eggs, one at a time, beating until smooth. Divide in half and spread over strips. Bake at 350° for about 50 minutes or until brown and crispy.
Frosting. Mix glaze ingredients and frost. Sprinkle with slivered almonds if desired.
