Ingredients/Components
- milk - 1 c
- flour - 4 c
- butter - 1 c
- tsp salt - 3 item
- or 3 eggs - 2 item
- pkg dry yeast - 2 item
- Tbsp sugar - 5 item
How to make danish kringle:
Mix flour, sugar and lard like pie crust. Add eggs gradually, add milk. Let rise until double in size then roll out like pie crust.Filling: Spread cooled, drained and mashed prunes on dough. Sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon, 1/8 Inch thick. Bake at 400° for 20 minutes. May use applesauce instead of prunes.
