Dandelion jelly
Ingredients/Components
- sugar
- water - 1 qt
- Sure-Jell - 1 pkg
- lemon or orange extract - 1 tsp
- dandelion blossoms - 1 qt
How to make dandelion jelly:
In the early morning, pick 1 quart of blossoms without any of the stems attached. Wash them. Now boil blossoms with 1 quart of water for 3 minutes. Drain off 3 cups liquid. Discard blossoms. Add Sure-Jell, extract and sugar. Boil about 3 minutes, then skim off top. Put in jars and seal. Its taste resembles honey.Recipe categories: Condiments, etc., Jellies, Lemon.
