Czechoslovakian cabbage soup
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 3 Tbsp
- salt - 2 tsp
- water - 8 c
- lemon juice - 3 Tbsp
- paprika - 1/2 tsp
- chopped onion - 1 c
- bay leaf - 1 item
- chopped parsley - 1/4 c
- Tabasco sauce - 1/2 3/4
- cloves garlic, chopped - 2 item
- tomatoes - 2 cans
- beef short ribs - 2 lb
- sauerkraut - 1 can
- dried leaf thyme - 1 tsp
- beef soup bones - 2 lb
- carrots, pared and coarsely chopped - 3 item
- 1 head coarsely chopped cabbage - 8 c
How to make czechoslovakian cabbage soup:
Place beef bones, onion, carrots, garlic and bay leaf in roasting pan. Top with short ribs; sprinkle with thyme and paprika. Add water and cook until tender. Add rest of ingredients and simmer 30 minutes. Serve hot. Good reheated.Recipe categories: Soups & stews, Beef, Beef ribs.
