Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/2 c
- vanilla - 1/2 tsp
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- nutmeg - 1 item
- almond extract - 1/8 tsp
- eggs, slightly beaten - 4 item
- 9-inch unbaked pie shell - 1 item
- milk, scalded
How to make custard pie:
Chill pie shell while making filling. Blend eggs, sugar, salt, vanilla and almond extract. Gradually stir in scalded milk. Pour into pie shell. Sprinkle with nutmeg. Bake in hot oven (400°) for 25 to 30 minutes, or until knife inserted halfway betRecipe categories: Desserts, Pie, Pies and tarts.
