Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/2 c
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- nutmeg - 1 item
- eggs, slightly beaten - 4 item
- scalded milk
- 9-inch unbaked pie shell - 1 item
How to make custard pie:
Mix eggs, sugar, salt and vanilla. Slowly stir in hot milk. Pour at once into unbaked pie shell. Dash the top with nutmeg. Bake at 475° for 5 minutes. Reduce heat to 425° and bake for 10 minutes longer or until knife inserted is clean.Recipe categories: Desserts, Pie, Pies and tarts.
