Custard pie



  • sugar - 1/2 c
  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • salt - 1/4 tsp
  • nutmeg - 1 item
  • eggs, slightly beaten - 4 item
  • scalded milk
  • 9-inch unbaked pie shell - 1 item

How to make custard pie:

Mix eggs, sugar, salt and vanilla. Slowly stir in hot milk. Pour at once into unbaked pie shell. Dash the top with nutmeg. Bake at 475° for 5 minutes. Reduce heat to 425° and bake for 10 minutes longer or until knife inserted is clean.
