Ingredients/Components

  • sugar - 1/2 c
  • vanilla - 1/2 tsp
  • salt - 1/4 tsp
  • nutmeg - 1/4 tsp
  • milk, scalded - 2 c
  • eggs or 6 egg yolks - 3 item

How to make custard pie:

Beat eggs slightly and combine with sugar, salt, nutmeg and vanilla. Slowly add milk; mix well and pour into 9-inch pastry-lined pie shell. Bake in hot oven at 450° for 10 minutes, then in moderate oven at 325° for 25 minutes.
