Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/2 c
- vanilla - 1/2 tsp
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- nutmeg - 1/4 tsp
- milk, scalded - 2 c
- eggs or 6 egg yolks - 3 item
How to make custard pie:
Beat eggs slightly and combine with sugar, salt, nutmeg and vanilla. Slowly add milk; mix well and pour into 9-inch pastry-lined pie shell. Bake in hot oven at 450° for 10 minutes, then in moderate oven at 325° for 25 minutes.Recipe categories: Desserts, Pie, Pies and tarts.
