Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 3/4 c
- vanilla extract - 2 tsp
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- beaten egg yolks - 9 item
- scalded milk - 6 c
How to make custard:
Combine egg yolks, sugar and salt; stir in scalded milk. Cook over hot water, stirring constantly, until mixture coats a spoon. Remove from heat; add vanilla. Chill and it is ready to drink.This is a good way to use the egg yolks left after making an angel food cake.
