Ingredients/Components
- butter or margarine - 2 Tbsp
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- water - 2 c
- chopped onion - 1/4 c
- long grain rice - 1 c
- curry powder - 2 3
- finely chopped celery - 1/4 c
- instant beef or chicken bouillon granules - 2 tsp
How to make curried rice:
In a 2-quart pan, cook onion, celery and curry powder in butter or margarine until celery is tender, not brown. Add rice, stir in bouillon, water and salt. Cover and boil, reduce heat, cover and simmer 15 minutes or until rice is done. Let stand, covered, 10 minutes.Recipe categories: Side dish, Rice, White rice.
