Ingredients/Components
- dark brown sugar - 1 c
- stick butter - 1/2 item
- egg - 1 item
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- vanilla
- currants - 1 c
- pecans - 1 c
- flour
- Crisco - 1/2 c
- water - 4 Tbsp
How to make currant tarts:
Crust:1 1/2 c. flour1/2 c. Crisco1/2 tsp. salt4 Tbsp. water Mix and handle crust as for any pie crust. Fit pastry into tart pans. Mix other ingredients together. Place into tart shells about 3/4 full. Bake at 350° for 25 to 30 minutes.If desired, sift confectioners sugar on top.
