Crunchy rice salad
Ingredients/Components
- water - 2 Tbsp
- chopped walnuts - 1/2 c
- lemon juice - 2 tsp
- ground black pepper - 1/4 tsp
- sliced celery - 1 c
- sweet pickle relish - 1/4 c
- cooked rice, cooled - 3 c
- bottled Thousand Island dressing - 3/4 c
- small tart red apples, cored and chopped - 2 item
How to make crunchy rice salad:
Sprinkle apples with lemon juice blended with water. Mix with rice, celery, walnuts and relish; blend Thousand Island dressing and pepper. Toss with rice mixture. Serve on salad greens if desired. Makes 6 servings.Recipe categories: Salads, Side dish, White rice.
