  • vegetable oil - 1/2 c
  • pepper - 1/4 tsp
  • margarine, melted - 1/2 c
  • envelope Lipton onion soup mix - 1 item
  • potatoes, cut into quarters - 2 lb
  • thyme leaves optional - 1 tsp

How to make crisp onion-roasted potatoes:

In shallow baking pan, thoroughly blend all ingredients, except potatoes. Add potatoes and turn to coat throughly. Bake 40 minutes at 450°, stirring occasionally, or until potatoes are tender and golden brown. Garnish with chopped parsley, if desired.
