  • cream cheese, softened - 1 (8
  • margarine, melted reserve 1 Tbsp - 5 Tbsp
  • cooked chicken - 4 c
  • milk - 1/4 c
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • pepper - 1/4 tsp
  • onion, chopped - 2 Tbsp
  • refrigerated crescent rolls - 2 cans
  • seasoned croutons, crushed - 3/4 c
  • Sauce:1 can cream of mushroom soup

How to make crescent chicken squares:

Sauce:1 can cream of mushroom soup milk Preheat oven to 350°. Blend cream cheese and 4 tablespoons of margarine until smooth. Add chicken, milk, salt, pepper and onions; mix well. Separate rolls into 8 rectangles (not 16 triangles) and firmly press perforations to seal. Spoon 1/2 cup chicken mixture into center of each. Pull 4 corners of dough to top center, twist firmly together and pinch side seams to seal. Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Brush with remaining margarine. Sprinkle croutons over top. Bake 20 to 30 minutes. Warm sauce and serve over top.
