Ingredients/Components

  • vegetable oil - 2 Tbsp
  • can tomatoes - 1 lb
  • green peppers - 2 item
  • large onions - 2 item
  • loin pork chops - 4 item
  • envelope Italian salad dressing - 1 item

How to make creole pork chops:

Cut peppers into strips; slice onions into rings. Heat oil in a large skillet. Add green peppers and onions. Saute 10 minutes. Remove from skillet and set aside. Add chops to oil remaining in skillet. Cook until brown on both sides. Remove. Pour off remaining oil. Pour tomatoes into skillet. Stir to scrape up all brown bits on bottom of skillet. Stir in salad dressing mix. Put green peppers, onions and chops back into skillet. Cover. Bring to boiling; lower heat to simmer. Cook 50 to 60 minutes or until chops are tender. Serve with rice. Serves 4.
