  • flour - 1 Tbsp
  • Worcestershire sauce - 1 tsp
  • dash of paprika - 1 item
  • dash of pepper - 1 item
  • large chopped onion - 1 item
  • fresh green beans - 3 lb
  • Reserve liquid
  • salted water - 1 item
  • dash of celery seed - 1 item
  • liquid from beans - 1 item

How to make creole green beans:

Cook green beans in salted water until tender. Reserve liquid.Creole Sauce:6 slices bacon, brown slightly1 large chopped onion1 Tbsp. flour liquid from beans1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce dash of pepper dash of celery seed dash of paprika Dice bacon and brown slightly in skillet. Add chopped onion and saute until golden brown. Remove bacon and onion from bacon drippings. Into hot bacon fat, stir 1 tablespoon flour. Add liquid from beans and Worcestershire sauce. Cook to medium thick; add to this the pepper, celery seed and paprika.

After sauce is finished, fold in sauteed onion and bacon. Toss green beans in hot sauce and serve.
