Creamy potato soup
Ingredients/Components
- milk - 1 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- evaporated milk - 1 c
- water - 2 c
- melted butter - 3 tsp
- pepper - 1/8 tsp
- parsley flakes - 1 Tbsp
- caraway seed - 1/2 tsp
- onion, chopped - 1 c
- celery, chopped - 1 c
- shredded cheese - 2 c
- peeled, cubed potatoes - 4 c
How to make creamy potato soup:
Combine potatoes, celery, onion, water and salt in large pot. Simmer, covered, about 20 minutes or until potatoes are tender. Mash mixture a few times with potato masher, but leave some pieces whole. Stir in remaining ingredients. Return to heat and cook, stirring constantly, until soup is thoroughly heated.Recipe categories: Soups & stews, Main dish, Ham.
