Ingredients/Components

  • sour cream - 1/2 c
  • warm water - 1/4 c
  • butter, melted - 2 Tbsp
  • chopped onion - 1/4 c
  • shredded Cheddar cheese - 1 c
  • can sliced mushrooms, drained - 1 oz
  • small can chopped green chilies - 1 item
  • chicken flavored bouillon granules - 1/2 tsp
  • manicotti shells - 8 item
  • can creamy chicken mushroom soup - 1 3/4
  • chopped, cooked chicken 4 breasts - 2 c

How to make creamy chicken manicotti:

Cook shells according to package directions, omitting salt; drain and put on wax paper. Combine soup, green chilies and sour cream; mix well. Combine half of soup mixture and chicken. Mix well. Reserve remaining soup mixture; set aside. Stuff manicotti shells with chicken mixture. Place in a greased 12 x 8 x 2-inch baking dish. Saute onion and mushrooms in butter until tender; set aside.

Combine water and bouillon granules, stirring until dissolved. Add to reserved soup mixture; mix well, then stir into mushroom/onion mixture. Spoon over manicotti. Bake, uncovered, at 350° for 15 minutes. Sprinkle with Cheddar cheese. Bake 5 minutes more.
