  • chopped onion - 1/4 c
  • chopped celery - 1/4 c
  • cooked rice - 1 c
  • freshly ground black pepper - 1 item
  • dash of nutmeg - 1 item
  • can cut asparagus with liquid - 1 oz

How to make creamy asparagus soup:

Place asparagus and liquid in a blender with onion, celery and cooked rice. Blend on low speed until pureed. Pour into saucepan and stir in milk. Season and heat to boiling point. Serve immediately. Makes about 1 1/4 quarts. Contains 95 calories per cup.
