Creamed spinach



  • pkg - 2 oz
  • milk - 1 to
  • flour - 1/4 c
  • garlic powder - 1/2 tsp
  • finely chopped onion - 1 c
  • seasoned salt - 2 tsp
  • seasoned pepper - 1/2 tsp
  • slices bacon, finely chopped - 4 item

How to make creamed spinach:

In medium skillet, cook bacon until almost crisp. Add onion to bacon and cook until tender, about 10 minutes. Remove from heat. Add flour and spices; blend well. Gradually stir in milk, starting with 1 1/2 cups. Cook and stir over low heat until thickened. Add spinach and mix thoroughly. If too thick, add additional milk.
