Ingredients/Components
- butter - 3 Tbsp
- heavy cream - 1/4 c
- salt and pepper - 1 item
- caraway seeds optional - 1 tsp
- medium green cabbage, cored and cut into 1/2-inch strips - 1/2 item
How to make creamed cabbage:
In a heavy, non-iron skillet, melt the butter and cook the cabbage over medium heat. Saut?© it for 5 minutes while tossing it in the butter. Pour in the cream. Season with salt and pepper. Bring quickly back to the boil; cover pan and reduce heat. Cook over low heat for 15 minutes until tender, but not soft. Sprinkle with caraway seed before serving, if desired.
