Ingredients/Components
- butter or margarine - 1 c
- whipping cream - 1/3 c
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- egg yolk - 1 item
- flour - 2 c
- white sugar - 1 c
- powdered sugar - 3/4 c
How to make cream wafers:
Mix butter, cream and flour thoroughly. Chill 1 hour. Roll dough 1/8-inch thick on lightly floured board. Cut into 1 1/2-inch rounds. Transfer to waxed paper heavily sprinkled with sugar. Coat both sides. Place on ungreased baking sheet. Prick with fork in 4 places. Bake 7 to 9 minutes at 375° until slightly puffed.
