Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- butter - 1/2 c
- boiling water - 1 c
- powdered sugar - 1 item
- whipped cream - 1 item
- sifted all-purpose flour - 1 c
- eggs unbeaten - 4 item
How to make cream puffs:
Combine water, salt and butter in saucepan; bring to boiling point. Add flour all at once and cook, stirring constantly until mixture leaves the sides of the pan clean. Cool; add eggs, one at a time, beating each in thoroughly. Drop by tablespoon a little distance apart on greased baking sheets; bake in hot oven (450°) for 15 minutes. Reduce heat (350°) and bake 20 to 25 minutes longer. Puffs should bake until no beads of moisture can be seen on them. Cool; cut top out. Fill with whipped cream. Replace top.
