Cream puffs
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 Tbsp
- eggs - 4 item
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- butter - 1/2 c
- sifted flour - 1 c
- hot water - 1 c
How to make cream puffs:
Bring to a rolling boil the first 4 ingredients. Add all at one time the flour. Beat vigorously with a wooden spoon until mixture leaves the sides of pan and forms a smooth ball. Remove from heat. Quickly beat in, one at a time, beating until smooth after each addition, the eggs. Continue beating until thick and smooth. Drop by tablespoons 2 inches apart on a greased baking sheet. Bake puffs at 450° for 15 minutes. Reduce heat to 350° and bake 5 minutes longer, or until golden brown in color. Remove to racks and cool completely. Fill shells with creamy vanilla filling, sweetened whipped cream, chicken salad or other desired filling.Recipe categories: Desserts, < 60 mins, 5 ingredients or less.
