Cream puffs



  • milk
  • flour - 1 c
  • water
  • stick butter - 1 item
  • dash of salt - 1 item
  • large container Cool Whip - 1 item
  • large box instant vanilla pudding mix - 1 item
  • large eggs no extra large - 4 item

How to make cream puffs:

Pastry:1 c. water1 stick butter1 c. flour dash of salt4 large eggs (no extra large) Preheat oven to 400°. Prepare pastry first. In a glass or nonstick pan, bring water and butter to a boil. Add flour and salt to pan; start mixing. Remove from heat. Mix until the mixture forms a ball and looks and feels dry. Let cool, folding mixture every now and then. Add 1 beaten egg. Mix until mixture looks and feels dry. Add remaining beaten eggs, 1 at a time, until mixture looks and feels dry. Drop on greased cookie sheet by tablespoon. Place in oven at 400° for 15 minutes. Turn oven to 375° for another 30 minutes until puff looks dry. After cooling, cut off tops with serrated knife and fill. Sift powdered sugar on top.

Filling: Mix pudding until thick. Add Cool Whip. Refrigerate until set.
