- eggs - 4 item
- milk - 2 c
- flour - 1 c
- butter - 1/2 c
- water - 1 c
- pinch of salt - 1 item
- egg - 1 item
- cream cornstarch - 1 Tbsp
- Heat water and butter to a rolling boil in saucepan
How to make cream puffs:
Heat oven to 400°. Heat water and butter to a rolling boil in saucepan. Stir in flour. Stir vigorously over low heat until mixture forms a ball (about 1 minute). Remove from heat; beat in eggs thoroughly, one at a time. Beat until smooth. Drop from teaspoon onto ungreased baking sheet. Bake 25 or 30 minutes, until golden brown. Allow to cool slowly away from draft. Cut off tops with sharp knife. Scoop out soft dough. Fill with cream or vanilla pudding.Filling:1 box vanilla pudding (not instant)1 Tbsp. cream cornstarch1 egg pinch of salt2 c. milk1 tsp. butter Stir ingredients; add 2 cups of milk and cook over medium heat until mixture comes to a boil. Add the butter and stir, then let pudding cool. Fill each cream puff with 1 teaspoon of the filling. Replace the tops of the puffs.Recipe categories: Desserts, < 60 mins, 5 ingredients or less.
