Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- milk - 3 c
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- flour - 1/2 c
- butter - 2 Tbsp
- egg yolks, slightly beaten - 3 item
How to make cream pie filling:
Mix sugar, flour and salt; stir in milk. Stir continually over medium heat. Add egg yolks. Cook 3 minutes. Remove from heat; add butter and vanilla.For coconut cream pie: Add 1/2 cup coconut and yellow food coloring. Sprinkle top of the finished pie with coconut, plain or toasted.
For chocolate pie: Add 4 tablespoons cocoa to mixture of sugar, flour and salt.
