Cream of potato soup
Ingredients/Components
- milk - 1 qt
- flour - 1 c
- butter - 2 c
- water - 1 qt
- pepper - 1/4 tsp
- diced onion - 1 item
- salt to taste - 1 item
- diced potatoes - 4 item
- garlic - 1/4 tsp
- slices cooked bacon, diced - 4 item
How to make cream of potato soup:
Cook potatoes in water until firm (more water may be added). Add onion, pepper, salt, garlic and milk. Cook until milk is hot. Add bacon and ham. Mix flour and butter together in a bowl until mixture becomes thick and brown in color. Stir in soup a little at a time briskly. Make sure soup is hot when adding. Simmer 20 minutes.
