Cream of mushroom soup
Ingredients/Components
- half and half - 1/2 pt
- milk - 1 pt
- flour - 1/4 c
- butter - 1/4 lb
- chopped onion - 1 item
- chicken broth - 1 pt
- bay leaf - 1 item
- salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
- oregano - 1/4 tsp
- basil - 1/4 tsp
- sliced mushrooms - 1/2 lb
- thyme - 1/8 tsp
How to make cream of mushroom soup:
Saute onion and mushrooms in butter. Add flour and mix well. Add broth, milk and seasonings. Cook for 30 minutes on low heat, stirring often. Add half and half and heat through. Serves 4.Recipe categories: Soups & stews, Mushroom, Bisques/cream soups.
