Cream of mushroom soup
Ingredients/Components
- milk - 1/2 c
- butter or margarine - 2 Tbsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour - 2 Tbsp
- water - 2 c
- cream - 1/2 c
- minced onion - 1 tsp
- diced celery - 2 c
- black pepper - 1 item
- chopped mushrooms - 1 c
How to make cream of mushroom soup:
Cook celery in salted water until tender. Melt butter in saucepan; add mushrooms and simmer 5 minutes. Add onion to this mixture. Add the flour and blend, then the milk and cream; simmer until it has thickened. Add cooked celery mix and season with pepper and more salt, if desired. Heat and serve.
