Cream of mushroom soup
Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- butter - 3 Tbsp
- nutmeg - 1/4 tsp
- all-purpose flour - 2 Tbsp
- light cream - 1/2 c
- pepper - 1/2 tsp
- chopped onion - 2 Tbsp
- chicken or beef broth - 2 c
- mushrooms, chopped - 1 c
How to make cream of mushroom soup:
Cook mushrooms and onions in butter 5 minutes. Blend in flour. Add broth. Cook and stir until slightly thickened. Cool slightly. Add cream and seasoning. Heat through. Serves 6.Can be doubled or tripled.
